Rastriq / EU financial entities

Who is authorised in EU finance and where they may operate.

Three official EU registers in one table: MiCA crypto-asset service providers, issuers and white papers (ESMA), PSD2 payment and e-money institutions (EBA) and insurance undertakings (EIOPA). One row per entity with LEI, home country, authority, services, passporting countries, dates and status, and in Delta mode only what changes.

Quick answer: Three official EU registers in one table: MiCA crypto-asset service providers (ESMA), PSD2 payment and e-money institutions (EBA) and insurers (EIOPA), about 11,900 entities with LEI, home country, authority, services, passporting countries, status and a Delta mode with new licences, withdrawals and new passports. PSD2 agents are not included and entries that look like individuals are redacted.

Counts from the actor README as of 24 October 2026.

LEI crosswalk. other_registers shows when the same LEI appears in another register (for example a CASP that is also an e-money institution). The EBA does not publish LEIs: the actor adds one when ESMA lists the same name in the same country and marks it lei_source = name_match.

Passporting. passporting_countries and branch_countries say where each entity operates outside its home country, so you can ask "who may operate in Spain".

What the source does not keep. The registers publish the current picture, not new licences, withdrawals or new passports. The actor does: in Delta mode every run compares the complete file with the previous one and returns only what is new (new), what changed (changed, with changed_fields and the old values in previous_values) and what disappeared (removed).

Filters never fool the history. The actor always reads the whole source; filters only decide which rows you receive. So a removal is never missed or invented because of a filter, and runs where the source has not changed finish in seconds and only charge the start fee.

Real rows from 24 October 2026 from the EBA (e-money) and EIOPA (insurers) registers.

No personal data. PSD2 agents (about 325,000 entries, many of them individuals) are not included. In registers that admit natural persons, an entry without LEI whose name looks like a person's loses name, address and national ID and is flagged.

Frequently asked questions about the financial entities register

Which registers are covered?

ESMA (MiCA), EBA (PSD2 payment and e-money institutions) and EIOPA (insurance undertakings). The default is all three.

How often do the sources change?

ESMA republishes the MiCA CSVs regularly (weekly in practice), the EBA regenerates its file several times a day and EIOPA refreshes its register regularly. A weekly Delta is plenty.

Why do some EBA rows have an LEI?

The EBA does not publish LEIs; when ESMA lists exactly the same name in the same country, the actor adds it and marks lei_source = name_match.

Is it legally binding?

No. These are public registers with source attribution; for a binding check, the competent national authority's register prevails.

Are UK entities included?

Only if a register still lists them; the EBA is removing UK entries.
