NORMALIZATION

## What makes an index comparable

Without this layer, five sources give five tables that cannot be joined. This is what we solve before delivering the data.

Hours of use

One source publishes "6,811 h" and another "5613 h". We convert it to an integer so that hours are comparable.

Currency

A single source mixes euros and dollars. We keep the original currency on every row and, if you ask, add the conversion at the capture date.

Listed value and bid

A listing publishes an asking price; an auction lot, a value with bid status and number of bids. We keep them apart so concepts are not mixed.

Duplicates across sources

The same machine can appear on several portals. We apply entity matching by make, model, year and hours and flag possible duplicates.

## Data, not conclusions

**You build the index.** Rastriq is a data service: we deliver the rows and the field dictionary. You choose the basket of machines, the weighting and the calculation, and the result is yours.

**No published figures.** This page shows no averages, rankings or price changes. The proof of the service is the real rows above and the coverage by source.

**Quality flags.** Outliers, different currencies or missing fields are marked with a per-row flag; they are never deleted. That way you decide what enters your calculation.

### Do you publish a used equipment price index?

No. Rastriq delivers normalized listing and lot data so each client builds its own index with its own basket and methodology. We do not publish averages or price changes.

### Which equipment sources do you cover?

Mascus, Euro Auctions, MachineryTrader, MachineryZone and Surplex, each with its public actor on the Apify Store. Other sources can be added as a custom project.

### Which fields does each row include?

Category, make, model, year, hours, listed value, currency, location, condition and capture date. Auctions add bid status and number of bids. The exact field depends on the source.

### How are currencies handled?

Each row keeps its original currency. If you need a common currency, we add the conversion stating the date of the exchange rate used.

### Is there personal data in the rows?

No. We exclude seller names, phone numbers, emails and serial numbers. Rows describe the machine, the listing and the location.
